Quality Control Analyst

OVERVIEW

G.S. Cosmeceutical USA, Inc. (GSC) is a contract manufacturing company located in Livermore CA. GSC develops, manufactures and packages skin and hair care products. We also specialize in OTC Cosmeceuticals.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We have an immediate opening for a QC Analyst with 0-2 years experience in skincare and hair care products.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conduct routine QC analysis of in-process materials
  • Inspect raw materials & components
  • Conduct stability testing
  • Conduct QC line clearance
  • Assist senior chemists with trouble shooting production batches
  • Assist with basic microbial analysis
  • Maintain QC computer Data Base
  • Complete and maintain QC documentations, batch records, reports and other paperwork as required.
  • Perform other QC required functions as assigned

REQUIRMENTS

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, Microbiology or related scientific discipline
  • 0-2 years of experience in QC
  • Must have knowledge of basic college level laboratory techniques
  • Familiar and experience with basic chemistry & micro lab equipment
  • Knowledge of basic mathematics

· Knowledge of basic college level chemistry & microbiology concepts, practices, procedures and functions

· Ability to learn and operate within Standard Operation Procedures and cGMP regulations

· Flexible schedule, capable of working overtime, occasional split shifts, and weekends to support manufacturing as needed

· Excellent documentation skills

· Highly detail oriented is a must

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Excellent computer skills - proficient with MS Office (MS Word and MS Excel), knowledge of ERP Systems

· Excellent organizational skills

· Ability to prioritize

· Strong time management skills

· Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

· Ability to maneuver/lift an average of 20lbs

· Ability to interface with all departments within the company

· A team player

· GMP experience is highly desirable.

· Some experience in the cosmetics manufacturing industry is desirable.

· Embraces routine work responsibilities

HOURS:

Regular work hours are Monday-Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm. Some OT may be required. Occasional weekend work and temporary split shift. Flexible with work schedule a must to support production.
